Nashville Favorites - September 2024.
This month has been full of highs and lows; and when I say ‘highs and lows’, I’m talking about the temperature. The good news though - we are headed in the right direction. Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year, and Nashville is my favorite place to spend it. A few things I’ve loved this month…
There is a Williams Sonoma outlet store in Brentwood that I’ve been going to pretty often. Not everything is on sale, but there are some discounted items. Certain standard colors, select items, and some bundled products will be discounted each week. Last time I stopped by, they let me know that my favorite color would be on sale a few days later (30% off). I was also able to switch out the hardware on a dutch oven I bought to a beautiful white gold knob.
The Henry opened in 12 South and is already my new favorite restaurant in Nashville. I was not expecting to love it so much, but the vibes were immaculate and the menu was amazing. It was a lot of warm reds, fun wallpaper and high-quality woodworking. Everyone eating there was a little intimidating in the best way. A must-try.
I went to the Nashville Zoo and actually enjoyed myself, as much as I’m not a zoo-person. They do a great job at making the exhibits look like a true jungle / habitat versus a cage. They offer great memberships for families that are worth it even if you just go two or three times per year.
Orchard Bend is my favorite go-to park during the fall time. It’s only 5 minutes from my house, and there’s miles of walking trails that will be covered in orange and red leaves in the next few weeks. There is always a good amount of people walking, biking, running, etc., and there are beautiful creeks. You might even see some beavers!!
I recently discovered an orchard called Morning Glory in Nolensville. As someone who has frequented orchards in North Georgia, it was very small and quaint, but it made it all the more charming. There are a few picnic tables and the cutest store with local goods, apples, etc. On the weekends, they have apple cider slushies and donuts, and there’s a cooler with wine, charcuterie-type snacks, etc. It was pouring rain when I went, but I’m excited to go back when the weather is a little nicer.
Last but not least, and probably not surprising at all, Radnor Lake is definitely on my September favorites list this year. It is the BEST place for hiking and walking during the fall. The trees around the lake are so vibrant and colorful, there’s wildlife everywhere, and the other hikers/walkers always have a smile on their face.
Happy early fall :) October favorites loading…
