What I’m doing in Nashville this weekend.

I was sitting at my desk today thinking through this week’s weekend festivities. Glancing down at my planner and seeing “write a lifestyle blog post”, I had an idea. I don’t have too much to share, as I don’t like to fully book my weekends, but I thought it would be fun to share some of my ‘weekend ideas’.

Although Thursday isn’t the weekend, it is in my book. I love to do a casual hang with friends on a Thursday to catch up because more people are free. This week, I have a happy hour planned with my girlfriend at a local Lenox Village restaurant - Southside Grill.

Friday is a toss-up. I recently found out about a music venue in the Lenox Village area called When Pigues Fly. I’ve driven past a few times and noticed a ‘live music’ sign, but truly thought it was a dog park, so I ignored. However, it is, in fact, a music venue and the dog park is next door - isn’t that good news?! From the looks of their website, they have live music on Fridays and Saturdays along with food trucks. It’s BYOB, which I think is so fun. I will absolutely be bringing a full margarita-making setup when I go. So that’s one Friday option. One of my friends also sent over an event she saw on Instagram, ‘Nashville Artist Collective’, which is an art and sips situation at the new Hart store in 12 South. I love art and I love sips, so this is a great option for me (especially considering Bartaco and Burger Up are a stones throw away for dinner).

Saturday morning will definitely be centered around going to the Franklin Farmers Market, getting my produce for the week, and getting a walking coffee somewhere in the Factory. My favorite weekend ritual. I might pop over to Sam’s after the farmers market to fill in the cracks for groceries (I love the Franklin Sam’s). Saturday also is one of the Tomato Fest days in East Nashville. I’ve never gone to the Tomato Fest, nor do I fully understand what it is, but I’ve heard things about art, merch, and entertainment. All sounds fun to me, so I might pop by. Saturday night, there is a Tomato Fest after-party at Tall Tales Nashville, which is a new bar on top of the Waymore Hotel I’ve been wanting to try. They will have multiple DJs and drink specials, and the event is sponsored by Lalo Spirits.

On Sunday, I have an open house in the Brenthaven community, which I’m so excited about. I truly love that neighborhood, so it’s easy to share my excitement about a home there. The market has been booming in that area for a while, so I’m spending this week putting that data into a digestable format for open house-goers. Hope to see you there! Have a great weekend!
