Nashville Favorites - August 2024.

I’m sad to report that August is still hotter than all ‘get out’, so unfortunately it’s not time for all the porch spots, fall vibes, etc. that I’m obsessed with (but I’m PRAYING September is the month). Despite the summer craziness, I’ve hit some pretty fun spots this month; here are a few..

I finally tried the new Iberian Pig restaurant in the Gulch, and WOW. The menu is tapas-style and so much fun for a group or even a date night. The happy hour was great, $5 sangria or house red/white, and the bacon-wrapped dates were even more great. Absolutely recommend.

East Nashville has really been my go-to lately. I used to live there and never did anything, now I live 30 minutes away and I do everything. That’s just how it goes though, right? My East spots this month have been Rosemary and Beauty Queen, Margot, and Redheaded Stranger. If you haven’t been to one or all of these, run. Rosemary and Beauty Queen is a local staple, and I love popping by for an afternoon / sun-going-down cocktail outside. Margot is a perfect place to hit after your sun-going-down cocktail for a late-night romantic dinner. Do not skip the homemade potato chips and aioli appetizer! Life changing! I’d say this is the best place to go on a date or a girly night out with just your best friends. Redheaded Stranger is the best brunch or weeknight dinner spot. No explanation needed - just trust me.

As far as real estate goes, I find myself wandering into Franklin’s Avalon neighborhood. The houses are gorgeous and vary so much in style, which I love. The lots are large, and it’s one of the few neighborhoods that has a mountain-feel throughout. On top of that, there’s wildlife every where. A neighborhood on my radar - Wyelea…

Lastly, a Nashville staple, White’s Mercantile. I’m always popping in, but this month, they just had the best pieces. This is a store that makes you excited for any season change or holiday coming up, which is exactly what it did for me. So many fun Halloween and fall gifts, decor, etc.. I ended up walking out with two ceramic hand-painted colanders for fruit, and they’re perfect.

Cheers, Nashville! Crossing my fingers for fall weather!
